Man and two teenagers under arrest following drugs warrant in Skelmersdale

A man and two teenagers have been arrested following a drugs warrant in Skelmersdale.

Officers from the West Lancs Task Force and Neighbourhood Policing Teams carried out the warrant under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act at the address on Willow Hey this morning (Wednesday 20th August, 2025).

Once inside, officers discovered a large amount of cannabis, multiple mobile phones and weapons including zombie knives, machetes and a taser. A quantity of commercial grade tools, including grinders and saws, which are suspected to have been stolen, were also discovered.

Furthermore, we seized five motorbikes and a four e-bikes, which are also suspected to have been stolen.

A 39-year-old man from Skelmersdale was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs, supplying a controlled drug and theft of a motor vehicle, a 16-year-old boy from Skelmersdale is under arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs and theft of a motor vehicle and a 16-year-old boy from Liverpool is under arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and possession of drugs. All three are currently in custody waiting for be questioned.

Sgt Luke Newman from West Lancs Task Force said: “We will continue to respond to information from the public about suspected drug crime in our communities.

“The issue of electric and scrambler bikes is one which understandably causes concern so removing another nine from the streets of Skelmersdale, along with the eight seized during last week’s operation, is really good news for those communities who should not be put at risk by reckless riding.

Operation Warrior is Lancashire Police’s response to tackling serious and organised crime in Lancashire, supported by Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.

It aims to target the individuals and gangs involved in crime, as well as associated issues such as violence and intimidation, large scale drug supply, exploitation, and fraud, all of which can cause serious harm to local communities.
