We are appealing for information and footage after a pedestrian was left seriously injured following a road traffic collision in Nelson.
At about 2.15pm yesterday (13th December) our officers were called to reports a Ford Kuga had collided with a pedestrian on Cross Street where it meets Market Square.
The pedestrian, a man in his 70s, suffered multiple serious injuries. He remains in hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the Kuga, a 41-year-old woman from Nelson, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs. She has since been released under investigation whilst our enquiries continue.
