We have arrested a man on suspicion of drugs offences after a proactive stop search in Preston.
During a routine patrol around the Skeffington Road and New Hall Lane area, officers from the Prosper Partnership team spotted a man on a bike who was acting suspiciously.
Following a stop search under the under Section 23 the Misuse of Drugs Act, a quantity of what is believed to be Class A drugs and cash was discovered.
A 47-year-old man from Preston is currently in custody waiting to be questioned on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug.
Operation Warrior is Lancashire Police’s response to tackling serious and organised crime in Lancashire, supported by Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.
It aims to target the individuals and gangs involved in crime, as well as associated issues such as violence and intimidation, large scale drug supply, exploitation, and fraud, all of which can cause serious harm to local communities.
