On Wednesday 30th October 2025, officers from the Rossendale Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out a targeted operation in the Rossendale Valley as part of Operation Centurion, aimed at tackling off-road bike nuisance and associated anti-social behaviour.
The operation saw the deployment of the Off-Road Bike Team resulting in:
This proactive policing response follows concerns raised by local residents about the impact of off-road bikes and anti-social behaviour in their neighbourhoods.
Sergeant Paul Marsden from the Rossendale Neighbourhood Policing Team said:
“E-bikes and off-road bikes causing anti-social behaviour is an issue that has been raised by our community, and we want to reassure residents that we are listening and taking action. The results of this operation demonstrate our commitment to responding to your concerns and making Rossendale a safer and more peaceful place to live.”
Officers will continue to work closely with partners and the public to identify problem areas and take enforcement action where necessary.
