A man in his 50’s has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug (class A) with intent to supply after Blackpool Police conducted a drug warrant at a property on Egerton Road, Blackpool.
This morning (Tuesday, 18 August 2026) Blackpool Police conducted a drug warrant at the property under Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act. Inside, officers found wraps of suspected drugs, weighing scales and a tick list. As a result, the 53-year-old man from Blackpool was arrested at the scene.

Blackpool Police’s Sergeant Paul Showell said:
“This warrant was as a result of intelligence and reports received from the local community. I want to reassure communities that we take reports of drug dealing and wider organised crime incredibly seriously and will continue to work proactively to combat this.
“We are working hard to keep organised crime out of our communities, and the support and information provided by residents is invaluable in helping us target those responsible and protect the places where people live and work.
“Officers remain determined to disrupt those involved in organised crime and will work tirelessly with our partners and local residents to prevent criminal networks from operating within our area.”
This activity was undertaken as part of Operation Warrior.
Operation Warrior is Lancashire Constabulary’s county-wide crackdown on organised crime supported by Police and Crime Commissioner, Clive Grunshaw. The operation targets both individuals and gangs involved in crime, as well as associated issues such as violence and intimidation, drug supply, exploitation and fraud, all of which can cause serious harm to local communities.
