Eight charged as part of cocaine and ketamine supply probe in Blackpool

Eight people have been charged as part of an investigation into the illegal supply of cocaine and ketamine.

As part of a week of action addresses were searched throughout the resort and a number of mobile phones, over £11,000 in cash, over 1kg in cocaine and weapons, including a Nazi War dagger, were seized.

Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, the following people were last week charged with conspiring to supply Class A and Class B drugs:

  • Cole Muir, 27, of Bela Grove, Blackpool
  • David Winstanley, 42, of Westmorland Avenue, Blackpool
  • Curtis Crothers, 21, of Staining Road, Blackpool
  • A 17-year-old girl from Blackpool who cannot be named for legal reasons
  • Katherine Young, 33, of Dickinson Road, Blackpool
  • Daron Warner, 26, of Midgeland Road, Blackpool
  • Lewis Mason, 26, of Webster Avenue, Blackpool.

They either have or will appear at Lancaster Magistrates Court in due course.

A 72-year-old woman from Blackpool arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class A Drug has been released under investigation pending the outcome of further enquiries.

These arrests and charges came as a result of information provided by you, the community. If you suspect criminal activity is taking place in your area, we ask that you let the police know about it and we will take the appropriate action.

While these arrests were part of a week of action, we want to be clear that this work is ongoing and our officers are on the streets 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The action was taken as part of Operation Warrior, our response to tackling serious and organised crime in Lancashire which is backed by Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.
