We have charged two people with multiple shop thefts across Ormskirk and Chorley.
It relates to incidents at Asda on Centre Drive in Chorley and Tesco on Station Approach in Ormskirk between September 2025 and January 2026 where hundreds of pounds worth of alcohol was stolen.
Last week a man and a woman aged 41 and 35 were arrested on suspicion of theft from a shop and we can now tell you that Sean Turner, 41 and Amie Stansfield, 35, both of Lewis Street, St Helens have been charged with 10 counts of theft from a shop.
Both have been bailed and will appear at Preston Magistrates Court on 24th April 2026.

The operation sees dedicated officers undertaking hotspot patrolling, increasing their visibility in targeted areas and creating strong partnerships with retailers across the county to better share intelligence, get a deeper understanding of retail crime and identify more offenders.
