We have some updates to bring you following a road traffic collision which happened on the Junction 29 slip road off the M6 northbound, Bamber Bridge on Friday 13th February.
Our officers were called to the slip road at Junction 29 at 4:25pm on Friday 13th February following reports a White Ford Transit van collided with three stationary vehicles (a HGV and two cars).
A baby, a passenger in one of the cars, was taken to hospital with serious injuries where she remains at this time.
Fortunately, her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
Our thoughts remain with her and her loved ones at this time.
The driver and passenger of the Ford Transit Van made off at the scene, and we can now update you that we have made two arrests as part of our investigation.
A 39 year old man from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He is currently in custody.
A 42 year old man from Blackburn has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
He has since been bailed with conditions whilst our enquiries continue.
