A burglar who targeted multiple businesses in Preston City Centre has been jailed.
Stephen Bosanko used a brick to try to gain entry to Just Padel on Corporation Street in the early hours of Tuesday (13th January 2026).
When arrested at the scene, he was found with receipts and property from Plugs and Taps on Lune Street and when officers visited that business, a window had been smashed and the till, containing around £1000 and 15 bottles of alcohol had been stolen.
Earlier in the evening, Bosanko had smashed a window and gained entry into TG Jones on Fishergate, stealing cash from the tills.
Yesterday, (Thursday 15th January 2026) Bosanko, 45, of no fixed address appeared at Preston Magistrates Court where he pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary other than dwelling and two counts of attempted burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal and was jailed for eight months.
