Kalvin Abram, 43, of no fixed abode has today (January 16) been sentenced to six months imprisonment and handed a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) after pleading guilty to three counts of Theft from a Shop.

The CBO was granted at Lancaster Magistrates' Court on 16 January 2026 and remains in place for the next five years. The conditions of the order state that Abram must:
PC Kim Roberts, from Blackpool Police, said: “Shoplifting isn’t a victimless crime. It harms local businesses, affects staff, and impacts the wider community. We’re committed to taking a firm, consistent approach to retail crime through Op Vulture, and we’ll continue working closely with our partners and local stores to identify offenders and keep our county safe.”
Operation Vulture is Lancashire Constabulary’s response to shoplifting across the county, backed by Lancashire's Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.
The operation sees dedicated officers undertaking hotspot patrolling, increasing their visibility in targeted areas and creating strong partnerships with retailers across the county to better share intelligence, get a deeper understanding of retail crime and identify more offenders.
