A man has been jailed for taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent in Accrington.
On the 22nd January 2026, we were called to a report of a vehicle being stolen from the Rose Street area of Accrington.
Following enquiries, Tyler Livesley, 24, of Lydia Street Accrington, was arrested and charged with taking a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.
On 23rd January 2026, Livesley appeared at Blackburn Magistrates Court where he was sentenced to nine weeks in prison, disqualified from driving until 2031 and fined £154.
Inspector Mo Lorgat from the Hyndburn Neighbourhood Team said, “We recognise that members of the local community had concerns regarding this matter.
“We hope that the outcome of this process offers reassurance and reflects our ongoing commitment to tackling the issues you raise to us. We will not tolerate criminality in Hyndburn.”
