Last Friday (19 June) officers from Fleetwood’s Neighbourhood Policing Team successfully secured a closure order for an address in the town.
The address, on Hatfield Avenue, has been linked to a number of reports including anti-social behaviour (ASB) and drug activity.

The closure order was passed by Preston Magistrates’ court under section 80 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. It restricts anyone from entering the property until September 2026 and anyone seen entering, leaving or staying in the property can be arrested, and could face a fine or imprisonment.
Neighbourhood Sgt Andy Hill said: “We have been working closely with Wyre Council and Regenda Homes to secure a closure order for this property, which was causing persistent disturbances for neighbours.
“We will always work with our partners through the Prosper Partnership to directly address criminality and anti-social behaviour in our communities, and I hope this closure order is evidence of this. I would urge anyone with concerns to report these to us either on our website or by calling 101. In an emergency always call 999.”
This activity was undertaken as part of Operation Centurion, which sees Lancashire Police officers robustly tackling anti-social behaviour through targeted activity and high visibility patrols.
The Prosper Partnership sees local police working alongside representatives from the public and private sector as well as local schools and community groups, launched in Lancashire as part of the Clear Hold Build strategy. The partnership aims create a joined-up approach to addressing community concerns robustly.
You can report concerns to the police by calling 101 or using the online reporting system. Always call 999 in an emergency.
