A Fleetwood man has been jailed after Wyre Taskforce officers executed a number of drug warrants at his property.
Officers conducted Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 warrants on the address on Poulton Street, Fleetwood, in July 2025 and January 2026. At the address, officers found drug paraphernalia and a mobile phone.
James Scott aged 29 of Poulton Street, Fleetwood was arrested and subsequently charged with three counts of Being concerned in the supply of Class A Drugs (Crack Cocaine, Cocaine and Heroin).
He appeared before Preston Crown Court on 23rd June 2026 where he was found guilty and sentenced to 5 years and 219 days imprisonment.
Wyre Task Force Sgt, Andy Ward, said:
“We remain committed to dismantling and disrupting drug supply in Fleetwood, and this sentence is further evidence of this.
“Through The Prosper Partnership we will continue to work with partners to directly tackle organised crime in our area, especially those who bring harm to our communities by dealing in illegal drugs, ensuring Fleetwood is a safe place to live, work and visit.
“The information we receive from the public is invaluable to the police and without it we would be unable to carry out this sort of proactive work.”
