Fylde Police have secured a three-month closure order for a property in Lytham st Annes after numerous reports of anti-social behaviour.

The property, on Don Street, has been linked to reports of anti-social behaviour for over a year.

The order was passed by Preston Magistrates Court on Wednesday 25th March under section 80 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. The closure is now in place for the next three months with strict restrictions.

Restrictions state that only representatives of Progress Housing Group can enter the property for the duration of the closure order. Anyone seen entering the property without reasonable excuse can be arrested.

Sgt Adam Robinson of the Fylde Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “We take reports of anti-social behaviour incredibly seriously and I hope this gives reassurance to the communities affected by this property that we will act on their concerns.

“I’d like to thank the local community for their support in helping us bring this case forward and I would like to encourage others to report persistent ASB to us. We will listen and we will take action.”

You can report concerns to the police by calling 101 or using the online reporting system. Always call 999 in an emergency.
