This Wednesday (20 May) officers from Blackpool Police successfully secured a closure order for a problem address in the area.
The property, on Osbourne Road, Blackpool, has been linked to numerous reports of anti-social behaviour and criminality, including drug activity.
The order was passed by Blackburn Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 20th May under section 80 of the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. The closure is now in place for the next three months with strict restrictions, prohibiting all persons from remaining, returning, and/or entering the premises.
Anyone seen entering the property without prior authorisation can be arrested and might face imprisonment and/or a fine.

Blackpool Police Sgt, Richard Mckenna, said: This closure order demonstrates our ongoing commitment to tackling anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity in Blackpool, as part of Operation Centurion.
“The persistent issues linked to this address have had a significant impact on the local community, and we have listened to residents’ concerns. By securing this order, we’ve taken decisive action to disrupt criminal behaviour and improve the quality of life for those living nearby.”
This activity was undertaken as part of Operation Centurion, which sees Lancashire Police officers robustly tackling anti-social behaviour through targeted activity and high visibility patrols, supported by Lancashire's Police and Crime Commissioner, Clive Grunshaw.
