£96,000 and a large quantity of Class B drugs have been seized following a warrant at an address in Nelson.

Officers from the Prosper Partnership and Neighbourhood Policing Teams executed a drugs warrant at the house on Hardy Court on Wednesday 21 October, following intelligence reported to the police by members of the public.

Inside, they found a large number of cannabis plants and £96,000 pounds in cash.

Two men aged 20 and 27 were arrested on suspicion of possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply and money laundering, and were taken into custody to be interviewed. They have been released under investigation as our enquiries continue.
