A man has been charged with 19 counts of theft from a shop, following a number of shoplifting offences in Nelson.
Officers were called to numerous reports of theft from Morrisons on Colne Road, with CCTV footage showing a man taking items including alcohol, cases of Coke Zero, and cakes, and making no attempt to pay.
We can now share with you that Najaf Khan, 45, of Stanley Street in Brierfield, was charged with 19 counts of theft from a shop and will appear at Blackburn Magistrates Court today (Monday 5 October).
