Two arrested over drugs offences in Preston

Thursday, October 1, 2026

We have arrested two men on suspicion of drug offences following a proactive vehicle stop in Preston.

At around 2.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 30 September), officers from Preston's Task Force were carrying out routine patrols when they spotted the occupants of a black BMW behaving suspiciously on Ashmoor Street.

The two men inside were detained under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act and a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of two mobile phones and a large carrier bag containing cannabis.

Further enquiries at a nearby property resulted in officers finding several more mobile phones, additional quantities of cannabis and a large amount of cash.

Two men, aged 48 and 35, both from Preston have been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs and are currently in custody waiting to be questioned.
