A property on Balmoral Terrance has been ordered to close for three months, applying to one of four flats in the property.
Last week (Tuesday, 25th August 2026) Fleetwood Police successfully secured a closure order at Preston Magistrates’ Court under the section 80 of the Anti-social behaviour, crime and policing act 2014. It comes after the flat was linked to criminal activity such as drug dealing and anti-social behaviour, including noise nuisance and disturbing neighbours.
The order bans anyone from entering the property until November 2026, with the exception of the premises owner and their agents. It is a criminal offence to enter the property without reasonable excuse and anyone seen at the property will be arrested, potentially facing a fine or imprisonment.
Sgt Andy Ward of the Fleetwood Neighbourhood Policing Team said:
“Through the Prosper Partnership, we have been working closely with partners and the local community to take action on this address. I hope that this closure order offers respite for neighbours, as everyone deserves to live safely and peacefully in their own home without having to endure ongoing disruption, crime or anti-social behaviour.
“We hope this action reassures residents that their concerns are being heard, and that we will continue to take robust action to protect our communities."
