We have charged a man with multiple shoplifting offences after a spate of thefts from a store in Thornton-Cleveleys.

It relates to incidents at B&M Bargains on Princess Road during August in which multiple items were stolen, totalling over £300.

On Tuesday 15th September 2026, Aidan Riches, aged 29 of Lingfield Road, Fleetwood was charged with 11 counts of theft from a shop. He will appear before Lancaster Magistrates' Court on Friday 25th September 2026.

Operation Vulture is Lancashire Constabulary’s response to shoplifting across the county, backed by Lancashire's Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.

The operation sees dedicated officers undertaking hotspot patrolling, increasing their visibility in targeted areas and creating strong partnerships with retailers across the county to better share intelligence, get a deeper understanding of retail crime and identify more offenders.
